Over the next few weeks we will be posting tons of before pictures and starting the renovation process. We have some crazy ideas that we can't wait to see if they work or if they are epic fails.
Two exciting things of note happened this week. First, we chose countertops for the kitchen. I am planning to do a seperate post to explain how we saved money on the countertops and got a beautiful granite at a crazy low price.
Also, we have recruited our dear friend, Jana, to help post here. She has a crazy green thumb, and so she is going to help us with the yard and various other projects on the outside. We can't wait to get in there and show you more.

The Beginning
We are Stephen and Allison, two attorneys living in rural Alabama with absolutely ZERO handy/crafty/carpentry/design sense or skills. However, we are moving into Stephen's (SDL's) childhood home and wish to use this blog as a place to chronicle the remodel and evolution of the late 1960's style home into the modern era.
Hopefully, this blog will help others who are similarly situated avoid the mistakes we are certain to make.
